Vacancies
If you are interested in working for us we are actively seeking masters, engineers and mates with the right experience and certification allowing them to work on our fleet UK flagged vessels. With operations far and wide in a variety of climates and with many different customers, the requirements are for personnel who are flexible and willing to work wherever the next contracts require.
Masters
You must have certification that allows you to work on UK Flagged vessels and a proven track record in tug, workboat or multicat handling would be a distinct advantage.
As a minimum you should have STCW 95, Master code vessel <200GT (or equivalent/higher) but given the right candidate with the right background we are prepared to consider RYA Offshore certification with a view to working with you to develop this rapidly in to a 200GT ticket .
Mates
You must have good relevant experience in workboats or tugs, and have as a minimum an RYA Yachtmaster certificate, commercially endorsed.
Note that we have a history of developing the right candidates to be Masters, and will provide additional training and support once sufficient experience, has been gained.
Engineers
Engineers on our size of vessels are invariably part of a small team on board, so as well as certification to work on board UK Flagged vessels, they sometimes need to work on their own and in an area of the world in which local technical support may not be on the doorstep. Flexibility is needed - given the size of some vessels which can have just 2 or 3 crew – assistance on deck may also be necessary.
As a minimum we require STCW 95 OOW or MEOL, but higher applicable qualifications are an advantage.
We have a good track record in encouraging development both within the company and assisting crews through courses and examinations. We are only looking to employ holders of UK issued Certificates of Competency or Certificates of equivalent Competency.
Please do not attach your certificates to your application. We will contact you should these be required.
Please send applications appropriately marked Master, Mate or Engineer to: crewapplications@holyhead.co.uk
