Shallow Draft Tugs & Anchor Handling Tugs

A range of tugs with working drafts of between 2 and 3 metres offering from 17 to 54 tonnes bollard pull. All of the vessels are highly manoeuvrable and are equipped to handle anchors, tow barges, carry cargo and transfer fuel and water. All are fitted with knuckle boom deck cranes from 65 tonne/metre to 185 tonne/metre capacity. The larger 35 metre boats are Ice Classed, equipped to Fi-Fi 1 standard and have twistlock deck container fittings.

Shallow Draft Multi Purpose Vessels

Multicat, Eurocarrier and multicat type vessels with working drafts of between 2 and 2.5 metres, from 14 to 29 tonnes bollard pull. All are highly manoeuvrable and are capable of anchor handling, towing and cargo transfer. The larger vessels have twistlock deck container fittings and anchor handling forks. With extensive working deck space, knuckle boom deck cranes ranging from 65 tonne/metre to 230 tonne/metre and large fuel and water carrying and transfer capacities, these vessels are extremely versatile on site both near and offshore.

Workboats & Crewboats

Although usually deployed as site taxis they can also have a useful function as inshore survey vessels in shallow water. As with the type of vessels outlined above, the North Stack can be equipped with an "A" frame and bed levelling plough to assist dredging operations.

Survey Vessels

These vessels have been fitted out with the specific requirements of the survey team in mind. Most have a dedicated surveyors desk and chair, are fitted with computer shelving and have moonpools to suit both single and multibeam transducers. They are very shallow draft (1.4 metres) and manoeuvrable and can "double up" as crew boats carrying up to 12 passengers when necessary.

Turbine Transfers - Wind Farm Support Vessels

Turbine Transfers Limited operates fast catamarans that transfer personnel and equipment between the shore and wind turbines. The fleet includes 12m, 15m, 16m, 18m and 20m versions, all built by South Boats. The designs have a successful and proven track record on wind farms throughout Northern Europe.

Airbus

A specialised shallow draft, low air draft vessel designed to carry the wings of the Airbus A380 "superjumbo" aircraft from the production facility on the River Dee to Mostyn for onward shipment. The difficult route through the river and estuary requires a dedicated survey team to monitor the constantly changing depths together with a specially developed navigation package. Forward planning based on this survey information enables the voyages to take place in safety with these high value cargoes.
